After Independence the Advocates Act 1961 came in force. As per section 03 of the Advocates Act there shall be a Bar Council of State where in High Court has been established.

So, we were member of State Roll under Bar Council of Assam,Nagaland etc. When our Hon’ble High Court of Tripura established in 2013, separate Bar Council of state was also constituted by our Hon’ble High Court.

Ld. Sr. Advocate Mr.B.C Das as the then Advocate General was nominated as the Chairman of the Ad Hoc Committee. In 2014 1st elected Bar Council was constituted under the Chairmanship of Ld. Sr. Advocate Mr. P.K. Biswas 2nd elected Bar Council has been constituted on 09-02-19 when I was elected as Chairman of the Council.

After being elected as Chairman of the Council, I gave a message to all Ld. Advocates that I want to do all activities for all and with all. Our motto is to upgrade the cause of Justice for all. Bar Council Stretches for maintaining professional ethics in an great profession. We always require active help from bench while we are always ready to assist the Bench so that litigants can keep faith on Justice delivery system and also get Justice.

With your kind help this website could be launched and it would be updated time to time.

Wish you all my good wishes for self and on behalf of the Council.
